South Korea to Send Special Envoy to North Korea on September 5 - Presidential Office

South Korean President Moon Jae-in will send a special envoy to North Korea on September 5, presidential spokesman Kim Eui-kyeom said on Friday.

TOKYO (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 31st August, 2018) South Korean President Moon Jae-in will send a special envoy to North Korea on September 5, presidential spokesman Kim Eui-kyeom said on Friday.

"The special envoy to North Korea will discuss the concrete schedule of the inter-Korean summit, development of inter-Korean relations, denuclearization of the Korean peninsula and peaceful settlement," Kim told a briefing.

He, however, did not specify who exactly would go to Pyongyang, noting that "it has not been decided yet."

The South Korean presidential administration said in a statement, released on its official Twitter account, that the North Korean side had agreed to receive the South Korean envoy.
