South Korean President Receives Highest IOC Award for 2018 Winter Olympics - Reports

President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Thomas Bach on Thursday awarded South Korean President Moon Jae-in with the highest Olympic order for his contributions to the success of the 2018 Winter Olympics, local media reported.

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 30th August, 2018) President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Thomas Bach on Thursday awarded South Korean President Moon Jae-in with the highest Olympic order for his contributions to the success of the 2018 Winter Olympics, local media reported.

Moon was presented with the order in a ceremony held at his office in Seoul, the Yonhap news agency reported.

According to the agency, Moon is said to be the seventh South Korean to have received the highest IOC award.

South Korea hosted the 2018 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games in Pyeongchang, located about 180 kilometers (about 112 miles) east of Seoul, on February 9-25.
