Russia, US to Agree on Spaceflight Schedule to ISS for 2019 in December - Source

A Russian-US commission is expected to approve in December a schedule of spaceflights to the International Space Station (ISS) for the next year, a source at the Baikonur spaceport told Sputnik on Thursday.

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 30th August, 2018) A Russian-US commission is expected to approve in December a schedule of spaceflights to the International Space Station (ISS) for the next year, a source at the Baikonur spaceport told Sputnik on Thursday.

"The manufacturing of Progress MS-11 cargo spacecraft should be completed by mid-September, in 2019 it should be the first Russia's [spacecraft] launched to the ISS - the launch is scheduled for February 7. The final launch dates under the ISS exploitation program will be agreed on by the Russian-US commission at the end of this year," the source said.

According to the source, three launches of Russia's Soyuz spacecraft are planned for 2019.

Meanwhile, the launch to the ISS of Russia's new multipurpose laboratory module Nauka is expected to take place on November 8, 2019.
