WASHINGTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 29th August, 2018) Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs Chrystia Freeland told reporters on Wednesday she is set to conduct another meeting with US Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer at 5:00 p.m. EST (2100 GMT) in Washington, DC to review work on trade agreement negotiations.
"Ambassador Lighthizer and I have agreed that he and I will meet at 5 o'clock today [5:00 p.m. EST] again to review the work we have been doing," Freeland said.
On Monday, President Donald Trump announced that the United States had struck a preliminary trade agreement with Mexico and that negotiations with Canada would start immediately.
