"Bilateral relations are certainly in a situation that is probably very unlikely to be spoiled further. Of course, bilateral relations are in the deepest crisis, and so far... there are no factors that would speak about prospects in the current situation for their normalization," Peskov told reporters when asked about Kiev's plans to withdraw from the Russia-Ukraine Friendship Treaty.
He said it is unwise to take steps to further worsen relations and inflict additional damage upon the interests of the two nations.
Peskov said Russia has always been an opponent of the Ukrainian leadership's actions against Ukraine's southeast.
