PTI leadership making efforts to pacify estranged Aamir Liaquat

The PTI’s central leadership asked Aamir Liaquat to raise his concerns on the right platform.

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 29th August, 2018) The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has contacted its estranged MNA Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain in an attempt to pacify him.

According to media reports, the PTI is making efforts to appease Aamir Liaquat.

The PTI MNA raised his concerns in the telephonic conversation with the party leadership.

The PTI’s central leadership asked Aamir Liaquat to raise his concerns on the right platform. They assured him of addressing his reservations and resolving the issues, media reports said.

Televangelist and PTI MNA Dr Aamir Liaquat triggered a controversy yesterday after he launched his tirade against the party leadership and Prime Minister Imran Khan for ignoring Karachi.

Aamir Liaquat in a tv talk show had claimed that a gathering was held at Governor House with party MNAs in presence but, according to him, he was not invited to it. He complained that Prime Minister Imran Khan did not nominate anyone from Karachi and completely ignored the province for the post of Speaker and Deputy Speaker.

Responding to this, PTI Senator Faisal Javed Khan said that the disgruntled leader is neither leaving PTI nor creating a forward block within the party.

The PTI lawmaker has also reportedly left the ‘WhatsApp group’ of the party created for interaction and discussions of party members.

In a voice message leaked after Aamir Liaquat left the group, he said that he got the party ticket after protest, adding that it was regrettable to have been avoided by the party from a luncheon of key party leaders at the Governor House on Tuesday. He said it was his protest that prompted governor to speak to him on telephone.
