PM Imran likely to extend his federal cabinet after presidential election 

Media sources said that eight to ten more ministers will take oath in the second stage

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 29th August, 2018) Prime Minister Imran Khan has decided to extend his federal cabinet.

According to media reports, the federal cabinet will be extended after the presidential election due to be held on Sep 4.

Media sources said that eight to ten more ministers will take oath in the second stage after Prime Minister Imran Khan’s 16-member cabinet took oath in the first stage.

Sources further said that Azam Swati is likely to be given Science and Technology Ministry while Ali Amin Gandapur and Ali Zaidi will also be included in the cabinet.

The prime minister soon after taking oath of his office had approved the new cabinet and allocated portfolios.

On August 20, President Mamnoon Hussain administered oath to the 16-member Federal Cabinet, including three women, in a simple ceremony at the Aiwan-e-Sadr.

The cabinet members include Farogh Naseem (Law and Justice), Tariq Bashir Cheema (Safron), Shireen Mazari (Human Rights), Ghulam Sarwar Khan (Petroleum), Zubaida Jalal (Defence Production), Fawad Ahmed (Information and Broadcasting), Pervez Khattak (Defence), Aamir Mehmood Kiyani (Health), Shah Mahmood Qureshi (Foreign Affairs), Asad Umar (Finance), Sheikh Rashid Ahmed (Railways), Fehmida Mirza (Inter Provincial Coordination), Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui (IT), Shafqat Mahmood (education) and Noor ul Haq Qadri (Religious Affairs)

Five advisers are Mohammad Shehzad, Ishrat Hussain, Abdul Razzak Dawood, Amin Aslam and Babar Awan.
