UN Deputy Syria Envoy to Visit Moscow on September 4-5 - Russian Foreign Ministry

UN Deputy Special Envoy for Syria Ramzy Ezzeldin Ramzy will visit Moscow on September 4-5, scheduled to hold talks with representatives of the Russian Defense Ministry and the Security Council, as well as Russian Presidential Special Envoy for Syria Alexander Lavrentyev, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov said Wednesday.

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 29th August, 2018) UN Deputy Special Envoy for Syria Ramzy Ezzeldin Ramzy will visit Moscow on September 4-5, scheduled to hold talks with representatives of the Russian Defense Ministry and the Security Council, as well as Russian Presidential Special Envoy for Syria Alexander Lavrentyev, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov said Wednesday.

Earlier in the day, UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura's office told Sputnik that Ramzy had been invited by Russian authorities to visit Moscow next week.

"As far as I understand, Ramzy Ramzy will meet with Lavrentyev and [Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey] Vershinin at the Foreign Ministry. Besides, they have requested meetings at the Security Council, the Defense Ministry. I think that meetings with our colleagues responsible for this issue will be also held there," Bogdanov told reporters.

The diplomat noted that Ramzy would visit Moscow on September 4-5.
