US Company Begins Selling Plans for 3D Printed Guns Despite Court Ban on Free Distribution

Defense Distributed, a company in the US state of Texas that was banned from posting online blueprints on how to make plastic guns with 3D printers for free, has started selling the plans, company owner Cody Wilson said during a press conference on Tuesday.

WASHINGTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 28th August, 2018) Defense Distributed, a company in the US state of Texas that was banned from posting online blueprints on how to make plastic guns with 3D printers for free, has started selling the plans, company owner Cody Wilson said during a press conference on Tuesday.

"Everyone in America who wants these files can get them," Wilson told reporters. "They're allowed to name their own price."

Earlier on Tuesday, the Defense Distributed website offered to provide blueprints to make an AR-15 rifle with a suggested price of $10.

A US Federal judge in the state of Washington extended on Monday a nationwide court order forbidding Defense Distributed from posting the plans on-line, which would have allowed anyone to download the blueprints free of charge.

The Second Amendment of the US Constitution guarantees the right of Americans to keep and bear arms.
