Traffic warden suspended for knocking down bikes to give way to Sh Rasheed’s convoy

In a video going viral social media, a traffic warden could be seen moving aside some illegally parked motorcycles

Rawalpindi (Pakistan Point News – 28th August, 2018) A traffic warden, who knocked over illegally parked motorcycles to clear the path for Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed’s protocol, was suspended on Tuesday.

Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Muhammad Bin Ashraf ordered an inquiry against the warden for his act of damaging civilians’ vehicles.

In a video that went viral on social media, a traffic warden could be seen moving aside some motorcycles which were illegally parked at Rawalpindi’s Bohar Bazaar to give way to the protocol of the railways minister.

The warden asked people to clear the way quickly and himself pushed the bikes aside, throwing down a couple of them in the meantime.

As the minister passed by the area while en route to Lal Haveli, he told the motorcyclists that if he wants, he can order the authorities to pick up all the illegally parked motorcycles.

Following this, the warden instead of moving the motorcycles to the side started knocking them over.

The warden told the railways minister that he tells these people every day to not park illegally and today, he pushed the bikes down out of frustration.

Meanwhile, the residents protested against the warden's act of knocking down motorcyles.
