PM Imran’s travel via helicopter costs Rs50 per km: Fawad Chaudhry

Says there’s no issue if the Punjab chief minister travels with his family on a private plane

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 28th August, 2018) In a rather surprising statement, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan’s helicopter commute to and from Bani Gala cost between Rs 50-55 per kilometre.

Talking to a local news channel, the information minister said that PM Imran has the right to utilize all the perks offered to his office.

“This does not affect the public,” he said.

Regarding the use of private jet by Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, he said, “There’s no issue if the Punjab chief minister travels with his family on a private plane.”

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Imran Khan is already facing an inquiry in the National Accountability Bureau for his excessive use of government helicopters during the PTI’s previous tenure in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
