Putin Spent Weekend in Russia's Tyva Republic Enjoying Nature Tourism - Peskov

Russian President Vladimir Putin spent last weekend on the Yenisei River in Russia's Tyva Republic in Southern Siberia traveling around and enjoying nature, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Monday.

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 27th August, 2018) Russian President Vladimir Putin spent last weekend on the Yenisei River in Russia's Tyva Republic in Southern Siberia traveling around and enjoying nature, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Monday.

"Speaking about last Saturday and Sunday, the president, ahead of his trip to the city of Kemerovo [in southwest Siberia], decided to leave earlier and spent Saturday and Sunday in Tyva on the Yenisei River walking in the mountains and enjoying the beauty of nature ... It was tourism ... nature tourism," Peskov said.

During his two-day trip Putin was accompanied by Sayano-Shushenski Nature Reserve's Director Gennady Kiselev and Sholban Kara-ool. the head of the Tyva Republic.

"There were also [Russian] Defense Minister [Sergei] Shoigu and Federal Security Service Director [Alexander] Bortnikov," Peskov added.

According to the Kremlin spokesman, photo and video materials on Putin's trip will be released later on Monday.
