MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 24th August, 2018) Meeting between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Russian President Vladimir Putin may be held soon, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said on Friday.
"We expect contacts and meetings at the level of our presidents to take place in the near future. This time a meeting in the Sochi format will take place in Iran. Undoubtedly, our task as foreign ministers is to prepare these events," Cavusoglu said at the beginning of talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
Lavrov noted that meetings between the Russian and Turkish ministers would also take place soon.
"We are planning meetings between our other ministries and departments in the near future. And, of course, we always have the schedule for contacts between our presidents on the agenda," Lavrov said.
