The indictment targeted a father and son team that led the Zheng drug trafficking organization based in China, the release explained.

The 43-count indictment charged Fujing Zheng and his father, Guanghua Zheng, of Shanghai, China with using numerous companies, including Global United Biotechnology, and Wonda Science, to manufacture and distribute hundreds of controlled substances, including fentanyl analogues such as carfentanil, acetyl fentanyl, and furanyl fentanyl, the release noted.

In addition to fentanyl and related analogues, the Zhengs sold 250 other drugs to at least 25 countries and 37 states, according to the release.
