WASHINGTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 22nd August, 2018) US President Donald Trump is committed to campaigning as much as he can until the November midterm elections in support of Republican candidates in Senate, House of Representatives and gubernatorial races, a Trump administration official said in a conference call on Tuesday.
"He [Trump] is committed to aggressively campaigning� as much days as possible on the road outside of Washington, DC into November," the official told reporters.
Trumps objective this fall is to get more support in Congress to back his agenda, the official said, adding that the US president will have about 40 days of travel from August 1 to Election Day.
Trump intends to hold eight rallies over the next six weeks, the official also said.
Another administration official said that the November elections will be challenging given that since the Civil War, the Republican Party has lost each midterm election with the exception of the elections in 1934 and 2002.
