Russian Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin on Monday held a meeting with foreign attaches accredited in Russia to inform them about ongoing snap combat readiness drills in eastern Russia ahead of the Vostok 2018 military exercises, the Defense Ministry said.
MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 20th August, 2018) Russian Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin on Monday held a meeting with foreign attaches accredited in Russia to inform them about ongoing snap combat readiness drills in eastern Russia ahead of the Vostok 2018 military exercises, the Defense Ministry said.
"During the event, Col. Gen. Fomin informed that a comprehensive check of combat readiness of troops [forces] of the Central and Eastern Military Districts, Airborne Forces, long-distance and military transport aviation is underway in the Russian Armed Forces," the ministry said in a statement.
"This information has been also delivered to the States-Parties to the Vienna Document 2011," the statement added.
