Over 110 Refugees Return To Syria From Lebanon In Past 24 Hours - Russian Military

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 19th August, 2018) A total of 114 refugees, including 58 children, returned to Syria from Lebanon in the last 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry's Center for Refugee Reception, Distribution and Settlement said Sunday.

"Over the past 24 hours, 114 refugees (34 women, 58 children) returned to Syria from Lebanon through Jdaidit Yabws and Al Qusayr checkpoints," the center said in a bulletin.

Additionally, 208 Syrians returned to their homes from within Syria.

Lebanon has taken in over 1 million Syrian refugees over the several years of armed conflict in Syria. Lebanon's own population is estimated to be slightly over 4 million.
