The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and non-OPEC members have pushed back the meeting of the Joint Technical Committee (JTC) that monitors the implementation of oil production cuts under the Vienna deal by a week, until August 27, a source told Sputnik on Friday.

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 17th August, 2018) The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and non-OPEC members have pushed back the meeting of the Joint Technical Committee (JTC) that monitors the implementation of oil production cuts under the Vienna deal by a week, until August 27, a source told Sputnik on Friday.

"The Joint Technical Committee is now Aug 27," the source said, adding that the meeting was delayed because of religious holidays.

The source added that the OPEC-non-OPEC Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee (JMMC) would hold a teleconference after the JTC to discuss the implementation results.

"Expect [the JMMC] the same day, but could be the day after," the source said.
