ATHENS (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 15th August, 2018) The death toll in the fire in the Greek southeastern region of Attica rose to 96 people, while last week it was said to be 93, the country's fire service said Wednesday.
Two deceased have not been identified yet, according to the fire service.
Almost 200 people have been hospitalized after the fire, which began on July 23.
According to the Healthcare Ministry, 30 people are still in the hospital, six of them in the intensive therapy unit.
The strong winds made containing the fire difficult for fire brigades, which led to tragic consequences.
