Valentina Matvienko, the speaker of the Russian Parliament's upper house, is planning to pay an official visit to the South Korean capital in October, South Korean National Assembly's Foreign Affairs and Unification Committee Chairman Kang Seokho said Tuesday.
MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 14th August, 2018) Valentina Matvienko, the speaker of the Russian Parliament's upper house, is planning to pay an official visit to the South Korean capital in October, South Korean National Assembly's Foreign Affairs and Unification Committee Chairman Kang Seokho said Tuesday.
We are aware that Matvienko plans to visit Seoul in October of this year. We expect her visit will encourage active development of exchanges between our parliaments, Kang Seokho said during his visit to Moscow for talks with Sergey Kislyak, the first deputy chief of the Russian Federation Council's Foreign Affairs Committee.
In late July, Matvienko said she would visit North and South Korea in the fall, while the exact dates were being discussed.
