The US-led coalition fighting the Islamic State (banned in Russia) is aware of reports that the terror groups leader Abu Bakr Baghdadi has been injured, but does not speculate on their validity, the Public Affairs Office of the Combined Joint Task Force-Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTF-OIR) told Sputnik n Monday.
WASHINGTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 13th August, 2018) The US-led coalition fighting the Islamic State (banned in Russia) is aware of reports that the terror groups leader Abu Bakr Baghdadi has been injured, but does not speculate on their validity, the Public Affairs Office of the Combined Joint Task Force-Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTF-OIR) told Sputnik n Monday.
Local media reported earlier in the day citing an intelligence source that Baghdadi is bedridden after a serious injury and does not lead the terrorist group.
"The coalition is aware of various reports and rumors of al-Baghdadi's location and status, but it would be irresponsible for us to speculate," the CJTF-OIR Public Affairs Office said when asked to confirm or deny the reports.
