Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 10th August, 2018) The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to make amends in the protocol blue book so unnecessary protocol given to the public office holders.
Imran Khan consulted with the party leaders and gave them a task to prepare recommendations for making changes in the protocol blue book.
It is expected that the traditional protocol given to government officials, including president and prime minister, will be ended. Some new rules for protocol will be formulated which will promote a cultue of simplicity.
Earlier, PTI chairman Imran Khan appeared before NAB without any protocol which was widely hailed by the people.
The debate about protocol started after Imran Khan said that neither he would take any protocol nor would he allow his ministers to do so. He said that he himself is the guardian the taxpayers’ money. Giving clear directions, Imran Khan said that the hard earned public money would not be invested in luxuries for the leaders.
Moreover, in his victory speech, denying protocol, the prime minister-in-waiting had declined to use Prime Minister’s House. Khan had announced that he would not use the Prime Minister’s House as his residence and that his party would later decide the fate of the building.
