Video goes viral on social media
New Delhi (Pakistan Point News – 9th August, 2018) The preparations for Independence Day in India and Pakistan kick off just as the month of August begins.
While Pakistan celebrates Independence Day with much zeal and fervour, Indians across the border also leave no stone unturned in celebrating the day.
The people of the two countries are often at logger heads with each other but we saw some citizen diplomacy on social media as some Indian and Pakistani singers shared a video, singing Pakistani and Indian national anthem.
The video features some Pakistani singers along Indian singers, giving a message of mutual co-existence.
The singers sang Indian national anthem too afterwards, terming it 'peace anthem'.

Earlier, a painting with a message of peace between India and Pakistan was also widely shared on social media.
Such steps on behalf of the people of the two countries can certainly bring the neighbours closer.
