Eid-ul-Azha is likely to be celebrated across the country on August 22, 2018.
Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 7th August, 2018) The government employees will get nine holidays on Eid-ul-Azha.
According to details, the Federal government has prepared a summary to give four holidays on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha. The holidays are likely to be announced from August 21 till August 24.
If the summary is approved, the federal and provincial employees can enjoy a continuous nine-day off if they take another holiday. The government offices will remain closed on August 18 and 19 due to weekend. They will only open on Monday, August 20, for one day. The Eid holidays will end on August 24 but a weekend awaits again as government offices will remain closed on August 25 and 26.
This way, the government employees can get straight nine holidays.
Earlier, the federal government had announced to pay advance salaries and pensions to the government employees ahead of Eid-ul-Azha.
The federal government had issued circular to the accountant generals in this regard. The government will pay salaries and pensions on August 17.
The federal government had directed the departments concerned to ensure implementation of these orders.
