Thatta (Pakistan Point News – 26th July, 2018) Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians candidate Ali Hassan has won PS-78 with 48835 votes. According to the results announced by Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians candidate won in PS-78 Thatta-II constituency with 48835 votes. In 2013 general elections, Pakistan Muslim League (F) candidate Saeed Khan Nizamani was elected as Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) with 46929 votes.
The second runner up was Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians candidate CHOUDHARY ABID FAROOQUE who got 31947 votes. At least 13 candidates from different political parties and independent candidates contested in PS-78. In 2013 elections, there were 148012 voters registered in PS-78, out of which 83372 votes were polled out. In 2013 elections, the voter turn-out from this constituency was recorded as 56.33 %.
