Independent candidate Muhammad Ajmal has won PP-97 with 42273 votes.
Faisalabad (Pakistan Point News – 26th July, 2018) Independent candidate Muhammad Ajmal has won PP-97 with 42273 votes. According to the results announced by Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Independent candidate won in PP-97 Faisalabad-I constituency with 42273 votes. In 2013 general elections, Pakistan Muslim League (N) candidate Chaudhary Muhammad Ashraf Warraich was elected as Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) with 29756 votes. The second runner up was Independent candidate Mian Ghulam Sarwar who got 23871 votes.
At least 28 candidates from different political parties and independent candidates contested in PP-97. In 2013 elections, there were 179310 voters registered in PP-97, out of which 101794 votes were polled out. In 2013 elections, the voter turn-out from this constituency was recorded as 56.77 %.
