Rawalpindi (Pakistan Point News – 21st July, 2018) Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz have been staying in Adiala Jail, Rawalpindi for over a week now.
The Sharif family and PMLN leaders called on Nawaz and Maryam on Thursday. During the meeting, Nawaz Sharif complained about the lack of facilities in the jail but also directed his aides not to demand any facilities for them.
The ousted prime minister has given strict directions to his aides not to demand any facility for him or Maryam from the jail authorities. He said that they don’t want anything other than the facilities mentioned in the jail manual.
Earlier on Thursday, Caretaker Minister for Information, Broadcasting, National Heritage and Law Affairs, Barrister Syed Ali Zafar said that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz are being provided all required facilities as per jail manual.
Talking to a private news channel, he said the law is equal for all the convicts.
