Doha (Pakistan Point News - 20th Jul, 2018 ) The State of Qatar strongly condemns the so-called national law adopted by Israel, saying it is a law that perpetuates racism and undermines the remaining hopes in the peace process and the two-state solution. This step is a setback in the path of coexistence, just peace and blatant discrimination against Arab landowners, at a time when human civilization is going to celebrate diversity and to consolidate the values of tolerance and constructive civilizational interaction between peoples, cultures and different languages.
This law also turns the construction of settlements and the Judaization of Jerusalem into a constitutional principle that flagrantly violates international law and United Nations resolutions, including the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1949, which prohibits the transfer and displacement of the population in occupied places during war and prohibits the occupier from changing the character of the occupied territories and the United Nations resolution No.
2334 of 2016 adopted by the Security Council, which directly criminalizes Israeli settlement and calls for a cessation of violence against Palestinian civilians. For these reasons, the State of Qatar calls upon the international community to activate its decisions and to compel Israel to abandon this ideological law and cease its violations of international law, the State of Qatar also calls on all those who have an influence on Israel to stand by the law, justice and human values to discourage the latter from this decision and the approach that led to it and its other violations.
