Says PTI talks about Allama Iqbal but did not award a ticket to his grandson
Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 25th June, 2018) Renowned journalist Irshad Bhatti has slammed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan for not allotting an election ticket to Allama Iqbal’s grandson Walid Iqbal.
Bhatti said during a program that none of the political parties are ideological.
“Their ideology only revolves around coming to power,” he said.
The journalist said that Imran Khan himself is his enemy while PTI’s biggest competition is also with PTI.
Their organizational structure and consultation cannot be understood. Although it is the PTI chairman’s right to award tickets but he did not even allot tickets to the electables, he said.
“He awarded a ticket to one such candidate who does not belong to any constituency. PTI’s merit to award tickets is that the candidate is NAB accused and has his loans waived off,” the journalist added.
Bhatti said that they talk about Allama Iqbal but did not award a ticket to his grandson. Although Walid Iqbal is not on PTI’s merit but can’t they give a ticket to him to lose, he said.
