Says Imran Khan could use Zulfi Bukhari’s issue in his favour
Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 22nd June, 2018) Renowned columnist Rauf Klasra has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan could use Zulfi Bukhari’s issue in his favour but nobody is there to give him such useful advice.
Klasra in his column wrote that Khan’s close friends think that he should not have gone for Umrah on a chartered plane.
“I told them if Khan had advisors like Mushahid Hussain and Hussain Haqqani, they would have told him to use Zulfi Bukhari for his political benefit. Zulfi Bukhari, in turn, used Khan for his interest,” he wrote.
“If Khan had smart advisors, they would have asked him to tell Bukhari to return from the airport as his was in the Exit Control List (ECL) and come for Umrah after getting it cleared. This would have been leaked on media by the party itself that Khan returned his fried from airport for the sake of law. All the tv channels and anchors would have been speaking in Khan’s favour by evening. His votes would have been increased by 10 lac. But as elections are approaching, Khan wants to commit political suicide,” Klasra added.
His act to take Zulfi Bukhari along him has got him trapped. He would have to tell many lies to keep one lie, he said.
Although the PTI chairman has included many electables in the party, none of them is a ‘spin doctor’ who could give him some useful advice and could save him instead of flattering him, the journalist concluded.
Khan’s close aide Zulfi Bukhari was not allowed to travel to Saudi Arabia in the last week of Ramzan as he accompanied the PTI chairman and his wife for Umrah. According to Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) sources, Bukhari was set to fly to Saudi Arabia from Rawalpindi via a chartered flight along with Khan and his wife when he was asked to disembark as his name was placed on the Exit Control List (ECL). However, Khan managed to take Bukhari along with him for Umrah after a phone call, following which Bukhari’s name was removed from the blacklist.
