Taking caring of persons with disabilities moral, religious duty: Governor KP

Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhawa (KP) Iqbal Zafar Jhagra has said that it is our moral and religious duty to take care persons with disabilities so that they could become active part of society.

Islamabad, (Pakistan Point News - 5th Jun, 2018) : Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhawa (KP) Iqbal Zafar Jhagra has said that it is our moral and religious duty to take care persons with disabilities so that they could become active part of society. He stated this while addressing as chief guest of a special ceremony organized by Hashoo Foundation here on Tuesday. During the ceremony, colorful performances of special children's were demonstrated by young champions enthusiastically.

Diplomats, heads of corporate sectors, government officials, academia, politicians and representatives of civil society notables attended the ceremony. Speaking on the occasion, Iqbal Zafar Jhagra appreciated the valuable contributions of Hashoo Foundation for the purpose and asked affluent persons to support generously to such organizations which had been rendering services for the cause of humanity. The Governor KP termed Umeed e Noor Centre for special children of Hashoo Foundation a Ray of hope in real sense for such kids who need our attention.

He said today's evening creates awareness, compassion and acceptance of the needs and potentials of our children with special needs. Iqbal Zafar Jhagra said every religion has put a lot of emphasis on serving humans which includes charity as well. Allah replaces what we give and multiplies it. Improving the lives of disadvantages people and especially children with disabilities by encouraging them an act of kindness and those who had been involved in such noble cause deserves our special appreciation.

The Governor KP said that special children deserve our attention and encouragement and admired the untiring efforts of teaching faculty of Umeed e Noor. He was of the view that Hashwani Family rendering meritorious services in social sector which has enabled a large number of deserving persons. Country Director Hashoo Foundation, Ms. Ayesha Khan while sharing the objectives of Umeed e Noor said that all possible facilities were being extended to the special children's with the vision to envisage ethical, equitable, inclusive and progressive society in which people live with dignity and honor.

She said we are trying our best to cater the necessities of quality education training and placement of special children in society. Governor KPK Iqbal Zafar Jhagra announced Rs. 5 lakh for Umeed e Noor for its educational programmes. Principal Gulnar Sultana informed the participants about the training.
