Says it would be a miracle if Nawaz Sharif is not punished
Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 24th May, 2018) Renowned journalist Muhammad Malik while talking on a tv program has said that a political analyst had given a very nice perspective on ‘what aboutism’.
According to this theory, whenever somebody is questioned, they point towards other people instead of answering it.
He said that Nawaz Sharif is doing the same and it continues in the present situation. Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif does not want to give the right answer and tries to avoid these questions using this theory.
He said that June’s first week is approaching and the deadline given to Accountability Court is ending. Everybody is waiting for the rulings on three references filed against Nawaz Sharif and his family. However, some legal experts believe that if not all, a verdict on at least one reference i.e., Avenfield Reference, will be given.
Malik said that the decision on one of these references will be made between June 7 and June 9. He said that we cannot predict the verdict but after seeing what happened in Supreme Court and Accountability Court, it seems that it would be a miracle if Nawaz Sharif is not punished.
He further said that Nawaz had made remarks over Mumbai attacks but nothing happened, now he has made allegations against the chief of intelligence agency, saying that he received a message from the intelligence agency, asking to resign.
“Everybody knows who the then intelligence chief was so why isn’t Nawaz Sharif saying it openly. Did Raheel Sharif send him a message? If yes, he can be called from Saudi Arab and asked about it. But I think that Nawaz does not want to disturb his relations with Saudi Arab,” the journalist added.
