Sabika’s death gave a message to Trump

Hamid Mir makes a case for terrorism in America

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 24th May, 2018) Veteran journalist Hamid Mir has said that Sabika Sheikh’s killing in the shooting incident in America has given a message to the American people that terrorists have no religion or nation.

Sabik’s death has established that terrorism is not the problem of Pakistan only, it is an issue in America too.

In his column ‘Sabika’s message to Trump’, Mir said that innocent Sabika was laid to rest in Karachi but for me, it is difficult to bury the pain of her death.

He said that although he never met her but the news of her death coming at the time of Sehri saddened him. “After the news was aired on tv, I kept thinking about her parents who could not even cry over her dead body and had to wait for her dead body for four days,” he said,

About the shooter of Santa Fe School, Mir asked if he was a Muslim. “Had he studied in some religious seminary? Did he get training in Pakistan? All these questions have an answer of ‘no’. This boy was born in America, learned to use a weapon in America and shot at his class fellows in his own school. Can we declare all Americans as terrorists because of this aggressive boy? Not at all.”

Sabika’s death has given a clear message to the American people that terrorists have no religion or nation. US President Donald Trump accuses Muslims, particularly Pakistanis, of terrorism but the killing of a Pakistani girl at the hands of an American youth has proved him wrong, he said.

Mir added, “Sabika’s death has clarified that terrorism is not only the problem of Pakistan, it is an issue in America too. Terrorists are not only born in Pakistan, they can take birth in America as well. This message was given by Sabika’s death which should be understood by President Trump.”
