Lahore, (Pakistan Point News - 11th May, 2018) : Social media users have launched a campaign urging the individuals to boycott chicken over its "sky-rocketing price" ahead of Ramazan. The sudden increase in the cost of chicken has been witnessed in various cities including Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Usually, the chicken is sold at Rs150-200 per kg but with the approaching of Ramazan, the price has plummeted to Rs320. Infuriated by the price hike, people are calling on to boycott buying chicken for three days to defeat the malicious motives of poultry mafia. The campaign has urged the people around the country not to buy or eat chicken from May 17-19 so that the prices can decline. Some propose not waiting for Ramazan and begin the boycott from the present day.
