PMLN to challenge ATC’s verdict acquitting Imran Khan in High Court

The ATC had acquitted PTI chairman in SSP Asmatullah torture case today

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 4th May, 2018) The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) has decided to challenge Imran Khan’s acquittal from SSP Asmatullah case in the High Court.

According to media reports, Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal has said that they would appeal in the High Court against the Anti-Terrorism Court’s (ATC) verdict acquitting Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan. He said that the PTI workers tortured the SSP upon directions from party leadership.

The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) acquitted the PTI chairman in SSP Asmatullah torture case on Friday. The ATC had reserved its verdict on April 13 which was announced today. The verdict had been delayed due to the absence of Imran Khan in the previous hearing.
