The PTI candidates also carried out a rally in support of the two heads of institutions
Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 24th Apr, 2018) The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Inaf (PTI) candidates, belonging to Gujranwala, have pasted the pictures of Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar alongside party chairman Imran Khan on election flexes.
PTI’s candidate from NA-180 Nasir Cheema and PP-53 Mehar Nasir Hussain have also carried out a rally in support of the heads of institutions. Nasir Mahmood held a rally on April 20 in favor of the army chief and the chief justice.
Ads were published in newspapers to make this rally successful. Over 300 vehicles were included in the rally. The PTI members participating in the rally held banners and placards in favor of army chief and chief justice. The placards had writings about army, judiciary and public being on the same page against corruption.
Sources said that the administration took down the banners having pictures of army chief and chief justice as soon as the rally ended, leading to a protest from the PTI’s local leadership.
