Decision taken because of Abbasi’s involvement in Quetta ephedrine case
Islamabad (Pakistan Point News - 16th Apr, 2018) The ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) has decided not to award a ticket to party leader Hanif Abbasi in the upcoming elections. According to media reports, Abbasi is named as an accused in Quetta ephedrine case and the PMLN has decided not give him party ticket in the 2018 general elections because of this case. The decision has been given by party’s senior leadership. The party leadership will bring a new candidate in Abbasi’s place. Abbasi had also failed to gather people during Nawaz Sharif’s long march, upsetting the party’s top leadership which could be another reason for the decision.
