Justice Ijaz ul Ahsan’s residence was attacked on Sunday sparking a new debate on media.
Lahore (Pakistan Point News - 16th Apr, 2018) Veteran journalist Hamid Mir has said that the incident of firing at Justice Ijaz ul Ahsan’s house should not be ignored as earlier, Justice Baqir Najafi was also threatened. The incident of firing took place at Justice Ahsan’s residence on Sunday sparking a new debate on media. Commenting on the incident, Mir said that he does not know who was behind the firing but he knows that the incident is a message to the judges of Supreme Court, High Court and Accountability Court. “What happened to Justice Najafi is not hidden in Lahore, he said.” The journalist said that he was threatened not to release Baqir Najafi report regarding the Model Town incident. The judge could not even speak about it. In another precedent, he said, Justice Sajjad Ali Shah’s son was kidnapped while he was serving in Sindh High Court and the son was later recovered by law enforcement agencies from Tank area. That’s why, the he said, the incident of firing at Justice Ijaz’s house should not be ignored at all. These unidentified miscreants belonging to any organization should be exposed.
