PMLN to bring National Accountability Amendment Act 2018 to make NAB ineffective
Lahore (Pakistan Point News - 13th Apr, 2018) Renowned journalist Rauf Klasra has said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) is going to bring National Accountability Amendment Act 2018, which will make National Accountability Bureau (NAB). Klasra while talking on a program said that the PMLN is bringing this Act to counter NAB that is investigating the Sharif family. The journalist said that if the law is passed, the NAB would neither be able to investigate any chief minister nor can it take any action against a minister, provincial employee or an MPA. The NAB can only take an action within 24 kilometers in Islamabad after the passage of this law, including only the Federal employees. Klasra said that NAB would become ineffective after amending National Accountaibility Ordinance 1999. The NAB chairman would not be able to issue arrest warrants despite evidence. These powers will then rest with the judge of Accountability Court as these judges are appointed by the Ministry of Law. To know more, watch the following video:
