Lahore (Pakistan Point News - 30th Mar, 2018 ) Veteran journalist Irshad Bhatti has revealed that Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi made two requests to Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar during the two-hour long meeting held between the heads of two state institutions on Tuesday. The meeting has become a center of attention for the media and there are several debates as to what was the agenda of the meeting. The debate has gone to the extent that the chief justice himself and the executive had to give an explanation.
Commenting on the meeting, Bhatti said that like the Supreme Court has issued a version on the meeting, the Prime Minister House should also issue one. The journalist said that respect and dignity is not ascribed, rather it is achieved. “If a man does not consider himself the prime minister, who else will?” Bhatti said, and added, “PM Abbasi has been an appellant since day one and till now, he is only making supplications.” “I think one of the reasons behind the meeting was the ongoing cases against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) leaders Talal Chaudhry and Daniyal Aziz. The second reason would be the trial against the Sharif family,” the journalist said.
