Only the cars having an M-tag will be allowed to enter Motorway after March 31
Lahore (Pakistan Point News - 26th Mar, 2018) Only the cars having an M-tag will be allowed to enter Motorway after March 31. A ban has been imposed on the cars without an M-tag to enter Lahore-Islamabad Motorway from April 1. The orders to restrict the cars have been issued by Frontier Works Organization (FWO). The documents of the car, driver’s license and ID card number will be necessary for M-tag. Initially, the restriction will be imposed only on Lahore-Islamabad Motorway. Gradually, the M-tag will be used on motorways across the country. This step has been taken in accordance with the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project. The cars will be allowed to enter Motorway after clearance only. Moreover, M-tag will also help capture vehicles that are stolen or used for terrorism.
