The Frontier Corps (FC) foiled a bid to smuggle huge quantity of hashish from Afghanistan, however, the accused managed to escape.
Pishin, (Pakistan Point News - 24th Feb, 2018) : The Frontier Corps (FC) foiled a bid to smuggle huge quantity of hashish from Afghanistan, however, the accused managed to escape. FC official, Colonel Hassan Makhtar Awan said that the security forces during routine patrol in suburbs of Pishin signaled to stop a suspected vehicle coming from Afghanistan. The driver leaving the vehicle by roadside fled the scene. During search of vehicle 1000 kilogram high quality hashish was recovered. The FC impounded the vehicle along with recovered hashish and security at all the entrances and exits were beefed up further. Colonel Hassan Mukhtar Awan said that eradication of drugs from the district and securing the borders was our prime responsibility and not efforts would be spared in this connection.
