Advisor to Prime Minister on National History and Literary Heritage (NH&LH), Irfan Siddiqui has said that it has not been finally decided to appoint Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif as President of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
Islamabad, (Pakistan Point News - 24th Feb, 2018) : Advisor to Prime Minister on National History and Literary Heritage (NH&LH), Irfan Siddiqui has said that it has not been finally decided to appoint Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif as President of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). Irfan Siddiqui talking to media persons after a function at a local hotel here on Saturday said if the decision regarding the party presidentship was final then there was no need of convening the executive committee meeting of the party.
He said that Nawaz Sharif himself would also think thoroughly and would also consult his friends in connection with the appointment of the party chief. He said that decision regarding the Acting President and permanent president would be taken next week. When he was asked about his advice to Nawaz Sharif regarding the new party president, he said his advice has no importance. Popular leaders need no president and premier slots. Irfan Siddiqui said Nawaz Sharif has not been sacked but centre-staged of the entire system. He said Imran Khan failed to raise umpire's finger but succeeded to get the required results from the judges' pen. He said for the first time a popular political party was excluded from the Senate elections which is not a good omen for democracy. He said people are with PML-N.
