The embassy says all consular appointments scheduled in Abu Dhabi from July 13 to July 15 have been cancelled while consular operations at the US Consulate General in Dubai will also be affected
ABU DHABI: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-July 14th, 2026) The United States Embassy in the United Arab Emirates has suspended consular appointments and scaled back services due to the regional security situation.
In a statement, the embassy said all consular appointments scheduled in Abu Dhabi from July 13 to July 15 have been cancelled, while consular operations at the US Consulate General in Dubai will also be affected.
The embassy announced that non-emergency US government personnel have been relocated from the UAE as a precautionary measure. It added that routine visa services have been suspended until further notice, with only limited emergency consular assistance, including passport services, being provided via email.
The applicants with appointments during the affected period have been advised not to visit the embassy or consulate. The embassy said affected individuals will be contacted directly to arrange new appointment dates.
US officials said the embassy and consulate will continue to operate with limited consular services until the security situation improves.
