The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) conducted a comprehensive training session on the e-Filing & Office Automation System (e-FOAS) at the Traffic Engineering and Transport Planning Agency (TEPA), Lahore Development Authority (LDA)

LAHORE (Pakistan Point News - 02nd Jul, 2026) The Punjab Information Technology board (PITB) conducted a comprehensive training session on the e-Filing & Office Automation System (e-FOAS) at the Traffic Engineering and Transport Planning Agency (TEPA), Lahore Development Authority (LDA). The initiative is part of PITB's continued efforts to accelerate digital transformation and promote paperless governance across public sector organizations in Punjab.

The training session was chaired by Director HQ TEPA, Tauseef Ahmed, while Director Administration TEPA, Furqan Zaheer, along with senior officers and staff, actively participated in the session.

During the training, PITB Program Manager e-FOAS, Muhammad Zaid Bin Tariq, delivered a detailed presentation on the system's functionalities, highlighting end-to-end electronic file movement, standardized documentation practices, and workflow optimization through digital automation. The session concluded with an interactive question-and-answer segment, allowing participants to gain a deeper understanding of the platform and its practical implementation.

In this regards, PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf stated, “PITB remains committed to supporting government departments in adopting modern digital solutions that enhance transparency, efficiency, and service delivery. The e-FOAS platform is playing a pivotal role in transforming conventional office operations by replacing manual paperwork with secure and streamlined digital workflows.”

“Through capacity-building initiatives like these, we are equipping public sector organizations to fully embrace paperless governance and strengthen digital public service delivery,” he added.

Developed by PITB, e-FOAS has been successfully implemented across numerous government departments in Punjab. The platform facilitates seamless electronic file movement, reduces dependence on paper-based processes, improves record management, minimizes operational costs, and significantly enhances institutional efficiency. Through the continued expansion of e-FOAS, PITB is advancing the Government of Punjab's vision of a digitally empowered, transparent, and efficient public sector.
