WhatsApp to introduce long-awaited message scheduling feature

Meta regularly introduces new features to improve user experience in response to this competitive pressure

LONDON: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News- June 15th, 2026) WhatsApp, used by billions of people worldwide, continued to enhance its platform amid growing competition from messaging services such as Signal, Telegram and others.

In response to this competitive pressure, Meta regularly introduces new features to improve user experience.

The latest development suggests that WhatsApp is preparing to introduce a long-requested feature that will allow users to schedule messages for future delivery.

The latest reports suggested that the feature has been spotted in the iOS beta version of WhatsApp, as highlighted by WABetaInfo. Once available, it will enable users to compose a message and set a specific date and time for it to be automatically sent.

The feature is expected to be particularly useful for users who prefer planning their communications in advance. Similar scheduling options are already available on platforms such as Gmail, X (formerly Twitter), and other social media applications.

The reports suggested that the option will be integrated into the chat info screen, where users will also be able to manage or delete scheduled messages before they are sent.

As of now, the feature remains in the beta testing phase, and there is no official timeline for its wider public release.
