Renowned Islamic scholar Mufti Abdul Qayyum Khan Hazravi passes away

Mufti Abdul Qayyum Khan Hazravi was serving as the head of the Dar-ul-Ifta at Minhaj-ul-Quran and was also a senior teacher of Islamic sciences and jurisprudence

LAHORE: (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News-June 15th, 2026) Prominent Islamic scholar Mufti Abdul Qayyum Khan Hazravi has passed away, sources said on Monday.

Mufti Abdul Qayyum Khan Hazravi was serving as the head of the Dar-ul-Ifta at Minhaj-ul-Quran and was also a senior teacher of Islamic sciences and jurisprudence. He was widely respected in religious circles and is said to have taught thousands of students who are now serving in various religious and academic institutions in Pakistan and abroad.

Mufti Abdul Qayyum Khan Hazravi had been associated with the College of Sharia and Islamic Sciences for the past 38 years, where he remained actively engaged in teaching and scholarly work.

His funeral prayer will be offered after Maghrib prayers at the central secretariat of Minhaj-ul-Quran. The funeral will be led by Chairman Supreme Council Professor Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri.

Minhaj-ul-Quran founder Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri expressed deep sorrow over his demise, describing him as a distinguished scholar of Islamic jurisprudence and a sincere and humble religious personality.

He extended condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the elevation of the deceased’s ranks and patience for the bereaved.
