NEPRA raises electricity prices by Rs1.19, cuts Rs1.98 in quarterly adjustment

The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority has increased electricity rates by Rs1.19 per unit under fuel adjustment while approving a Rs1.98 per unit reduction under quarterly adjustment, applicable nationwide in June bills.

KARACHI: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-June-05th,2026) The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority has announced an increase of Rs. 1.19 per unit under the April 2026 fuel price adjustment, while also approving a reduction of Rs. 1.98 per unit under the quarterly adjustment.

According to the notification, the fuel price adjustment will apply across the country, including K-Electric consumers, and will be reflected in June electricity bills.

On the other hand, the quarterly adjustment will provide relief of Rs. 1.98 per unit for three months (June, July, and August), benefiting consumers nationwide except lifeline users.

The quarterly adjustment is expected to provide over Rs. 67 billion in relief, while the fuel adjustment had been requested at Rs. 1.73 per unit increase by CPPA.
