LAHORE (Pakistan Point News - 11th May, 2026) The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) organized a cheque distribution ceremony at Arfa Software Technology Park (ASTP) under its Global IT Certifications Program, recognizing young professionals who successfully obtained internationally accredited IT certifications.
During the ceremony, PITB Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Nadia Riaz, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Adil Iqbal Khan, and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) Sajjad Ghani distributed fee reimbursement cheques worth from PKR 50,000 to PKR 200,000 among more than 40 participants from diverse academic and professional backgrounds. The event was also attended by PITB Director Skills Development Chaudhry Ahmed Islam, and other senior officials.
The Global IT Certifications Program aims to financially support aspiring IT professionals in acquiring globally recognized certifications, enabling them to enhance their technical expertise and remain competitive in the rapidly evolving digital landscape. Beneficiaries of the program appreciated PITB’s initiative, stating that the financial assistance has significantly helped them upgrade their skills and unlock better career opportunities at the international level.
In this regards, PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf stated that the Government of Punjab is actively undertaking practical measures to align youth with the demands of the global digital economy. He emphasized that such initiatives not only empower individuals but also contribute to strengthening Pakistan’s digital ecosystem.
It was noted that the successful candidates are not only advancing their professional capabilities but are also playing a vital role in driving the country’s digital transformation forward.
