Shutter down strike observed in Quetta

QUETTA, (Pakistan Point News - 9th August, 2016) : A complete shutter down strike was observed in the provincial capital to protect against the suicide bomb blast at civil hospital Quetta. Shops, markets, commercial and trade centers remained closed, here on Tuesday. Anjuman Tajran Balochistan, Anjuman Tajran Quetta and other trade unions gave call for shutter strike. All main bazaars and commercial centers including Liaquat bazaar, Prince road bazaar, Abdul Sattar bazaar, Qandhari bazaar, Alamdar road bazaar, Toghi road bazaar, Jinnah road bazaar and other remained closed to mourn the killing of lawyers, journalists and common people in civil hospital suicide bomb blast, said Naseer Khan Tareen, the President of Anjuman Tajran Quetta City.

It was a great tragedy which made all people sad and grieved. Traffic was thin on all main city roads and all educational institutions including government and private were closed. Holiday was announced at all educational institutions to mourn civil hospital tragedy. University of Balochistan, Sardar Bahadur Khan Women University, Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences and others educational institutions were also closed, said Abdul Raheem Ziaratwal, the Minister of education.
